Fête du Champagne back as the first festival in the Netherlands

‘Play a game of petanque, sabre your champagne or enjoy live music. This Fête du Champagne edition is themed L’été de l’amour: Summer of love. Celebrate love together and get lost in everything that has to do with champagne, crémant and wine’, according to the initiators.

L’éte de l’amour
‘Our l’été de l’amour edition this year is mainly a party where for the first time in a long time people can dance, dance and toast to the love for each other and for life’, says Ivar Beukeboom, one of the organizers of Fete du Champagne. The French champagne feast is completed with first-class French dishes prepared by top chefs and French chefs food trucks. In addition, guests can follow tastings and famous French games, such as petanque.

Co-organizer Sebastiaan van Erne: ‘The location of the festival, the Rembrandtpark in Amsterdam, has everything to create a romantic fairytale and imagine yourself in the French joie de vivre for four days. In addition, the location is easily accessible, for both Amsterdammers and people outside Amsterdam.’

The champagnes from the following houses are already on the menu (with taste description by FdC, ed.):

* Bollinger Champagne – the absolute favorite of James Bond and the British royal family
* Ayala – champagnes made only from Grand Cru and Premier Cru grapes
* Gremillet – a champagne house from the south of the Champagne Côte des Bar region
* Bonnet Ponson – explore the world of organic and natural champagnes.
* Charles Clément – very good value for money boutique champagne

In addition to champagne, the festival also promises wines from Domaine de la Baume and crémants from all corners of France.

Official ticket sales will start on Monday 7 June at 11 a.m. To celebrate the return of Fête du Champagne, a ticket costs 10 euros (excl. service fee). You get a coupe glass and a welcome glass of bubbles from Domaine de la Baume. The coupe glass can be taken home.
