Makro launches digital magazine Groots

The concept and production of Groots comes from content agency Totalspiel. Each issue (4 times a year) features a top chef and his favorite dish. In the first edition, that is star chef Soenil Bahadoer van de Lindehof. With the magazine Makro wants to let the reader see ‘through the eyes of the chef’.

Groots is the sequel to Makro’s former print magazine Gastvrij. The new magazine is completely digital. ‘We want to inspire the Dutch catering industry, but with a different approach than people are used to. More of this time, where videos really take you into the story’, explains Markus Pieters, head of catering at Makro.

The first issue appeared last April. In the second edition (June), chef Roy Eijkelkamp of De Bokkedoorns takes center stage.
