The wind power plant manufacturer Nordex announced a major order: “The Nordex Group will equip the“ Ventos de Santa Eugenia ”wind farm with 91 N163 / 5.X turbines, making it Statkraft’s largest wind power project in South America,” the Hamburg-based company announced on Wednesday . The order was already received at the end of 2020, according to Nordex, which does not disclose details of the financial agreements with Statkraft. According to the company, the order volume also includes a premium service contract with a term of three years, as well as technical support from Statkraft over a period of 20 years.
The wind farm is to be built near Uibaí in the state of Bahía in northeastern Brazil. Nordex anticipates commissioning at the beginning of 2023.
