The Rostock biotech company is expanding its activities in the area of COVID-19 tests. In cooperation with Lufthansa and airport companies, the company operates COVID-19 test centers at various airports – including Frankfurt, Berlin and Düsseldorf. With the corona test obligation for travelers returning from risk areas, these are now in the spotlight.
“We expect the number of people to be tested to increase significantly and the demand for test results in particular to increase significantly within 90 minutes,” said CENTOGENE board member Volkmar Weckesser, Executive Representative for corona tests at the company. “That’s why we’re expanding our capacities in all directions – we’re open longer, expanding the test areas and expanding our antigen tests to other centers,” says the manager. This also applies to Centogenes test centers in the inner cities of Berlin, Frankfurt and Wiesbaden.
“Test measures will be with us for a long time to come and have once again become more important with the new virus mutants. Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have seen comprehensive testing as our social duty and will continue to do everything we can to make corona tests accessible to the general public, ”said Weckesser.
