FintechTech group Tencent is investing in insurance start-up Clark

Tencent announced its ambitious goal a year ago: the Chinese company behind the Messenger Wechat plans to invest a total of 10 billion dollars in Europe. A third of this should flow to Germany, and the tech company also wants to massively expand its own cloud service, according to the Handelsblatt at the end of 2019.
Over the years, Tencent has stood out as a bustling start-up investor in Europe. A few years ago it participated in the smartphone bank N26 and the air taxi start-up Lilium. The portfolio also includes the French business bank Qonto and the Finnish quantum computer start-up IQM.
