Evonax, Paxful and LocalCoinSwap, what is the best platform to buy cryptos without KYC? – Cryptocurrencies

Joe Biden surrounds himself with a Bitcoin (BTC) pessimist

There is no shortage of choice when it comes to finding where to buy or trade your cryptocurrency. But the task becomes much more complicated when you try to keep your personal information private. Unfortunately, while it becomes more and more complex to avoid KYC checks, there are still a few services where you don’t have to provide any information, not even your email. Today we’re going to take a look at three platforms, comparing their pros and cons, and ultimately rating them out of ten, based on the following criteria:

  • Personal information required
  • Ease of use
  • Costs (fees and distribution)
  • security

Each of these factors will be weighted equally and will receive a maximum of 2.5 points. In no particular order, let’s get started!

LocalCoinSwap

LocalCoinSwap claims to be “the most popular non-custodial marketplace for buying and selling bitcoin […] and other peer-to-peer cryptocurrencies ”. Depending on the platform, you can “trade securely with instant registration” and it supports all countries around the world while offering more than 250 payment options.

Personal information required

As mentioned in the introduction above, you must register to use this service. You need to log in after you find a merchant. You can see below what you need to register:

The good news is, besides an email, you don’t sacrifice any other information.

Score: 2 / 2.5

Ease of use

I found the registration process to be tedious, although LocalCoinSwap claims it would only take 30 seconds. After entering the necessary information, I had to validate the registration by clicking on a confirmation email (nothing strange), but the inconvenience came when I had to reconnect. Each time you log in, you must click on a link sent to your email address …

Score: 1 / 2.5

Cost

There are a large number of payment options on the LocalCoinSwap, which means that it is difficult to get an exact number. I clicked on the Amazon Gift Card option, and i was told i would pay 40% more than the market rate … ouch ! However, trading BTC for USDT is done at a much more reasonable rate … just over 6% as of this writing. In the example below, I would have received 0.04289765 BTC instead of 0.04041234 …

Score: 1.5 / 2.5

security

Security is always an issue with P2P exchanges. However, LocalCoinSwap offers sellers and buyers a security feature to reassure you. They offer a special fiat wallet, in which the seller must place the funds (bitcoin in this example) before they are transferred to the seller.

Of course, a seller can always claim that they never received your money, but in theory, you will be protected. It can be frustrating either way. Finally, the company is based in Hong Kong and not in Europe, which means that the regulations are less strict there if something goes wrong.

Score: 2 / 2.5

Final score

Overall, we can say that LocalCoinSwap offers a service interesting and secured, but his boring registration process devalues it and, in the end, we get a grade of 6.5 / 10.

Paxful

Paxful looks like the project that is revolutionizing the world of peer-to-peer (P2P) finance. It is possible to “trade cryptocurrencies globally” with “multiple payment methods” (more than LocalCoinSwap) and also offers you a free bitcoin wallet… That said, most Bitcoin wallets are free anyway!

Personal information required

As for LocalCoinSwap, you are required to register using an email address and password. However and unfortunately when it comes to buying bitcoin you often have to provide even more information, as you can see below:

As you can see, in order to be able to trade with this seller, you must also give your phone number. The idea is obviously to give the seller more protection.

Score: 1.5 / 2.5

Ease of use

Register on Paxful is pretty easy, but as mentioned above you need to verify your email address and provide your phone number depending on the seller you are buying from. Surprise, surprise, it is the sellers who offer the best rates who ask for your number!

One thing to note is that you cannot use Paxful to make crypto-crypto transactions, it is only a platform for buying and selling bitcoin or tether via a wide range of fiat currencies – including books, euros and dollars.

Score: 1.5 / 2.5

Cost

Regarding costs, the rates are very reasonable taking into account that you are paying with hard currency. The day I checked, you were only losing about 1.8% on bitcoin purchases. There was also a large selection of vendors.

Score: 2.5 / 2.5

security

Contrary to LocalCoinSwap, there is no fiat wallet to ensure the safety of the funds of buyers and sellers. Paxful relies on users to verify seller ratings, which is done with a simple “like” or “dislike”.

Above you can see that the seller that I found has 100% positive feedback, however, that doesn’t mean that something couldn’t go wrong and there is no guarantee from Paxful. If you go to TrustPilot you will see that a lot of people are not happy with Paxful, with a very low rating (2.6 / 5) compared to its two competitors which I am reviewing today!

Score: 0.5 / 2.5

Final score

Overall, Paxful provides a global service accessible to everyone around the world at very competitive rates. However, security is an important issue and you will need to provide your phone number. For these reasons, Paxful receives a score of 6/10.

Evonax

In one sentence, Evonax is an online cryptocurrency exchange which offers instant non-custodial exchanges between ten different cryptocurrencies, from Bitcoin to Ethereum to Monero. There is no charge (there is a discrepancy, we’ll get to that later) but, more interestingly, you don’t even have to register to use their service.

Personal information required

One of the advantages ofEvonax is that you don’t have no need to give personal information. If you wish, however, you can provide an email address, but it is completely optional !

Score: 2.5 / 2.5

Ease of use

Not having to register makes the redemption process very easy. You literally have completed in three steps ! Choose the trade you want to make and the amount you want to trade. Then enter the public receiving address and send your part to the address provided. It is done ! No need for a guide!

Score: 2.5 / 2.5

Cost

AlthoughEvonax does not charge a fee like the others mentioned in this article, unfortunately there are a large margin, which is similar to what you will find on LocalCoinSwap. Again, you can see a difference of around 6%. Because of this discrepancy, I actually bought around 938.50 USDT worth of bitcoin instead of 1000 USDT.

Score: 1.5 / 2.5

security

Like with LocalCoinSwap, there are excellent customer reviews on TrustPilot aboutEvonax, without any mention of non-arrived funds. However, unlike LocalCoinSwap, this is a European company based in Denmark, led and managed by Europeans as well. This means that there are strict Danish laws that the company must adhere to in order to operate this service.

Score: 2.5 / 2.5

Final score

Generally, Evonax provides a service very safe, reliable and easy to use for the exchange of various cryptos. Although its margin might be lower, you can’t get better service. That is why Evonax gets the grade of 9/10.

In recent years, the cryptocurrency world has really cleaned up and is no longer inundated with scams it once was. Today we looked at three different platforms that are doing you a great service. While Paxful is good at avoiding fees and LocalCoinSwap offers many payment methods overall, Evonax stands out for its maximum security, ease of use and a platform that is frankly more respectful of your privacy! If you would like to use the service, you can go directly to the Evonax website or find out more about the people behind this innovative project!
