Daily outlook January 8th: DAX in rally mode. Bayer and ThyssenKrupp in focus! – columns

Investors are still in the buying mood. DAX® & Dow® celebrated new records. The German standard value index reached 14,000 points today.

In the meantime, yields on the bond market stagnated around yesterday’s level. The yield on long-term Bunds closed at minus 0.56 percent and the yield on comparable US bonds at around 1.04 percent. There was also little movement in precious metals. The gold price defended the $ 1,900 per troy ounce mark. Silver was fighting for the $ 27 level. Oil took a break after the recent rally. The price for a barrel of Brent Crude Oil was stable around 54 US dollars.

Company in focus

Evotec closed a little easier after an analyst downgrade. Fielmann exceeded its own forecasts in 2020. Investors acknowledged this with a slight price premium. The share of Kion benefited from positive analyst comments. Bayer and CureVac cooperate in the development of the corona vaccine. Admission should take place by early summer. Both titles rose today. ThyssenKrupp continued to be fueled by hopes of an economic recovery.
