2021 – The Hour of the Gold Juniors – Columns

Most experts are positive about the gold price in the new year.

Mostly very well financed, especially the junior gold companies that have promising projects should have the best chance of success. The high gold prices resulted in increased financing activity in the mining sector in 2020. A new bull market could now begin for junior gold and silver companies.

Monetary and fiscal policy is still difficult to predict, low or negative interest rates will remain for a long time and thus support the gold price. How quickly the slump in the jewelry industry will pass and when the central banks will buy more gold again is not known. Therefore, some analysts also expect a certain volatility in the price of the precious metal. Many think that these possibly negative factors will certainly be more than offset by investor demand. For ETFs are expected to be as strong in demand in the new year as in 2020. Expectations are also mostly positive for the demand for physical gold.

For example, the head of the Fed, Jerome Powell, pointed out the difficult months ahead of the world because of the current corona situation. Further measures to support the economy are to be expected and thus give the gold price a tailwind.

So what could be more natural than to deal with the gold companies. There is once OceanaGold – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCxsGLUVZc8 -, an already medium-sized gold producer. The projects are located in the Philippines, New Zealand and the USA. At the Haile gold mine in the US, development of the underground mine, which contains high-grade ore, will start in the second half of 2021.

Also at Trillium Gold Mines – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94HwzNTmbtw&t=203s -, active in British Columbia, things are moving forward. The main project, the Newman Todd Gold Project, is in the Red Lake area. With a drilling permit for its southwestern part, exploration continues at full speed.
