The DAX® did not exceed 13,900 points yesterday and went back to diving in the afternoon. In after-hours trading, the open gap was closed at 13,600 points, but this is still open on the XETRA basis. This morning there was an initial recovery after a weak opening.

The short-term technical picture is currently somewhat unclear, the meanwhile sharp slump on the US stock exchanges is a clear warning signal for overly euphoric bulls, but today there is (yet) no follow-through on the bottom. If there is again greater profit-taking in the US indices today, a larger slide would also be expected in the German benchmark index.

Procyclical sell signals would arise if the hourly closing time was below 13,600. Until then, the cops will remain in the game for the time being.
