Elderly people need special protection in the pandemic. They therefore enjoy the highest priority when distributing the corona vaccine. People over 80 belong to the first group to be immunized against Covid-19. The Federal Ministry of Health has regulated this in an ordinance based on vaccination recommendations from the Standing Vaccination Commission at the Robert Koch Institute. Nursing staff also enjoy top priority.
