Under the name Jumbo Gourmets, Jumbo offers lovers of culinary high-quality products an even wider choice of unprocessed fresh products, such as a beautiful bavette, an XL ribeye or a redfish fillet. The first products from Jumbo Gourmets will be on the shelves at all Jumbo stores in January.
Jumbo markets this line for real culinary connoisseurs, in addition to its basic range. ‘They are beautiful unprocessed products with superior quality and taste’, says Olaf de Boer, Director of Commerce. The accompanying logo does not contain Jumbo yellow, but looks a bit more ‘natural’, in soft colors for the connoisseur.
De Boer: ‘Jumbo previously offered various premium products under different brands such as Chefs Tip, Meat Lovers and Fishes. We now consciously choose to bring these together under one label. This increases recognition among customers. If it is a Gourmet product, they know that it concerns high-quality, qualitative and fresh products. We will start with meat and fish products, but we do not rule out the possibility that we will also introduce other fresh categories, such as fruit and vegetables, within this premium line at a later stage. ‘
