Yesterday’s weakness on Wall Street this morning has (so far) left hardly any major mark on the DAX®, but most of the price gains from yesterday have been corrected again.

A short-term downtrend has developed in the hourly chart. If this is recaptured today, a quick comeback attempt by the bulls and new advances on the upside towards 13,450 points and higher should be expected. On the other hand, yesterday’s daily low in the area of the 13,325 point mark acts as a sales trigger today – an hourly end below this mark could trigger larger follow-up orders on the bottom. In that case, the area around 13,150 points would quickly be on the agenda again.

The tip of the scales could be the afternoon ECB decision and Wall Street performance. There, technology stocks came under considerable selling pressure yesterday.
