The Sorare platform offers its first Turkish football club, Fenerbahce SK. This new partnership allows Sorare to increase its sales and better satisfy its Turkish users. This collaboration allows Fenerbahce SK to bond with an audience that it has not been able to reach before and, to improve its branding internationally.
Fenerbahce SK enters the field of Sorare
In a joint press release dated December 10, 2020, the most successful football club in Turkey, the Fenerbahce SK, and Sorare, announce the entry of the Turkish club on the fantasy football game platform.
Platform users will now be able to purchase digital cards of club players, such as Luiz Gustavo, Mbawna Samatta, or Ozan Tufan.
The entrance to the Sorare allows to Fenerbahace SK to reach fans he hasn’t been able to interact with before. The platform then allows the club to broaden the reach of its brand on the international scene.
Football enthusiasts are tearing the cards off Sorare out of nostalgia, to stand out from others, to assert their status, their identity and their membership in a fan club.
Buying cards is also an investment: the value of each card depends on the actual performance of the players.
During the first week of December, a card Sorare like Mbappé sold for $ 65,000.
Turkey alongside 100 clubs
Since its launch in December 2019, Sorare has recorded monthly growth of 52%. It now has 55 million users worldwide, with 6 million cards sold across 80 countries.
The platform recorded up to November 2020, more than 1,300,000 USD in monthly sales.
Fenerbahce SK is the first Turkish club to be listed on the platform, alongside a hundred European football clubs – the PSG, the FC Bayern Munich, the FC Nantes – coming from United States, or evenAsia.
Turkish users on Sorare rank 3rd in terms of time spent on the platform – 1h 15 min per day on average – and, 5th in terms of monthly growth rate.
The Milan inter had joined Sorare recently. Above all, the latter allows its partner clubs to create new forms of bond with their fans and increase their commitment to the club. Turkey enters the platform. When will we see tokenized cards with the image of retired or deceased football giants like a certain Diego Maradona?
