In the second quarter, sales at Hella rose by 4.4 percent to 1.8 billion euros. The EBIT margin increased from 8.3 percent to 12.1 percent. The numbers are above expectations. This means that Hella achieved sales of 3.2 billion euros in the first half of the year. That is a decrease of 2.7 percent compared to the previous year. The margin is 8.7 percent (previous year: 7.8 percent).
Rolf Breidenbach, Chairman of the Management Board: “The positive sales development is primarily due to the fact that we have received significantly more tailwind from the market in recent months than assumed at the beginning of the financial year. In view of the continuing high level of uncertainty and increasing competitive intensity in the industry, this is only a snapshot, but it shows that we are on the right track, not least because of our strong product portfolio, our high cost discipline and the high level of commitment of our employees. “
