According to the latest analysis, the Dow Jones Industrial Average® should consolidate. However, the index recovered significantly faster on the one hand and also from a slightly higher price level than preferred on the other. The low on Wednesday was 29,599 points, which narrowly missed the target of 29,569 points. Yesterday the bulls failed at their all-time high of 30,116 points. Today there are signs of another attempt at this brand. On the upside, the relevant resistance at 30,116 points has not changed. Above that, the upward trend would be confirmed and the Dow Jones could head towards 30,620 points. So far, the range between 30,116 and 29,569 points is intact. A small sell-signal would be triggered below 29,569 points with an initial target at 29,199 points. Again below that, the index is very well supported at 29,199 points and above all between 28,958 and 28,892 points. A break in the latter support zone would significantly worsen the chart.
Investors who want to trade procyclical the breakout could hedge positions in the event of such a signal, for example, just below Wednesday’s low, i.e. just below 29,599 points.
