GlobalWafers wants to take over Siltronic. The Taiwanese are bidding EUR 125.00 per Siltronic share. The purchase price would therefore be 3.75 billion euros. Major shareholder Wacker Chemie is positive about the idea. The company holds more than 30 percent of Siltronic.
The offer from Asians is 10 percent above the Siltronic closing price last Friday. The mark-up on the weighted average rate for the past 90 days is 48 percent. The groups involved have apparently negotiated the purchase price for a long time and intensively.
The analysts of Deutsche Bank confirm the buy recommendation for the shares of Siltronic. The price target so far was 90.00 euros. In the new study it rises to 135.00 euros.
The shares of Siltronic gain 1.4 percent in the morning to 123.90 euros.
