Sorare welcomes Inter to its platform. Italy is the second country in terms of time spent on the game (1h20 per day), and the fourth in number of users with a growth of 36% month by month (due to the success of the fantasy game Fantacalcio in Italy).

New partnership

TheInternazionale Milano, Serie A football club, today announces it has joined the global Fantasy Football Sorare. This partnership will allow Inter Milan card collectors and fantasy players to buy, sell and play freely with cards from players on the team, like Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez or Stefan de Vrij. Since the opening of its beta in December 2019, Sorare experienced an average growth of 47% per month, and today has more than 50,000 users worldwide, with more than $ 5 million in cards traded.

Starting today, Inter will continue to develop its international brand by reaching several untapped audiences : players from all over the world as well as potential new fan bases in Asia and America where Sorare is experiencing strong growth. Sorare is effectively opening up a new source of income for football clubs around the world in a category that has not been monetized in the past: fantasy football games.


An increasingly complete collection

For decades, collectors have been able to buy and trade football player cards in the physical world. The aficionados Inter players around the world will now play with their favorite footballers using their digital cards in their squads. Inter card scores depend on their performance of these same players in their matches in real life. De Sorare’s vision is to connect the passion of fans digitally to the events taking place on the pitch.

We are delighted that Inter are sharing our vision of global fantasy football with digital trading cards.

The start-up uses blockchain technology to create digital scarcity and establish which player owns a footballer’s digital card at all times. This creates a new level of trust, freedom for collectors and above all transparency for all. For example, it is possible to see on the blockchain that Neymar Unique’s card was purchased for $ 26,000. Over 100 football clubs from Europe, USA and Asia have partnered with Sorare to issue officially licensed cards so football fans can collect and play with their favorite players, including FC Bayern -Munich, Juventus, Atlético de Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
