Instead of celebrating the 100th anniversary meal, the supplier’s employees worry about their jobs. But an action with many people is impossible in Corona times. Now representatives of the employees have packed supposed presents.

Stuttgart – It was December 1st, 1920. At that time, Hermann Mahle joined Hellmuth Hirth’s experimental building as commercial manager. A little later, they entered the business with light alloy pistons for engines. Ernst Mahle joined the company in 1922 as a developer and head of production. Within a few years, the company became one of the largest German piston manufacturers. The brothers Hermann and Ernst Mahle became managing directors and later sole owners. This is considered to be the hour of birth of the supplier, which you can read on the Mahle website. Last year, the foundation company achieved sales of twelve billion euros with around 77,000 employees. Originally a big birthday party was planned. Then came Corona. But even without a pandemic, employees who have received a video message from the management are likely to have spoiled the party mood.
