Electronic Arts – Buyers defend themselves

Under technical standards, the share of the US software company Electronic Arts recently exhausted its given correction potential, now a trend reversal could be on the horizon. But the hurdles on the upside should not be underestimated and should cause high volatility even with bullish approaches.

In the period between mid-March and the beginning of August, the games industry profited immensely from a stock rally. Electronic Arts as a result, rose from its previous high of $ 114.13 in early 2020 to $ 147.36. This comparatively heavily overbought situation has been reduced since the summer through a consolidation back to the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement and the price mark of around 110.00 US dollars. In the correction, which has been completely exhausted by technical standards, the first signs of stabilization around US $ 120.00 are showing. In addition, since the end of October the price trend has been presented in an inverse SKS formation, which also supports the assumption of a trend reversal. However, the resistances consisting of a horizontal resistance and the two moving averages EMA 50/200 form high hurdles.

Who will win?

For a successful resolution of the present inverse SKS formation, the Electronic Arts Share at least above the level of the 61.8% Fibos and the price mark of around 124.00 US dollars. This would be the only way to increase the chance of a rise in the prevailing downtrend by $ 126.80 noticeably. Above that is another target at $ 134.05. The further career must be re-evaluated in the appropriate place. Setbacks below US $ 115.00 could quickly cash in the bullish approach and cause discounts to the November lows around US $ 110.00. A very short-term short scenario could then be considered for this.

  • Resistances: 122.75; 123.80; 125.00; 125.55; 127.49; $ 128.88
  • Supports: 119.33; 117.55; 116.41; 115.00; 113.28; $ 109.25
