On a group basis, the Erlebnis Akademie AG closed the first nine months of the current year with a drop in sales of 1.2 percent to 13.38 million euros. Before interest and taxes, the m: access-listed company reports a profit of 3.03 million euros after 3.07 million euros previously.
“In the course of 2020 as a whole, the third quarter was the first and only one in which there were no restrictions on the opening times at our locations,” says Christoph Blaß, CFO of Erlebnis Akademie AG. “We are accordingly excited to have compensated for the decline in sales in the first six months, triggered by the temporary corona-related closings, through the months of July to September alone. For us, this is an absolutely positive sign of future growth opportunities in the market for near-natural leisure facilities, ”said the manager.
Despite the renewed lockdown, which, according to company information, is expected to have less of an impact for seasonal reasons, the Munich-based company is expecting a profit on a group basis for the current year. “The winter closure is of course not ideal for us. We are nevertheless expecting a positive consolidated annual result for the current financial year, but due to the uncertain planning situation due to Corona, we cannot currently make a reliable quantitative forecast, ”said Blaß. Blaß expects the coming year to be very good, partly due to new locations.
