The grill manufacturer Landmann from Osterholz-Scharmbeck near Bremen has filed for bankruptcy. As the company announced on Monday, the oldest and second largest German manufacturer of grills has been in a restructuring process for a long time and is looking for investors.
The company employs around 200 people in total. The wages and salaries of around 80 employees in the German companies are guaranteed until the end of January 2021. The company recently generated annual sales of around 60 million euros.
Business should be put on a stable footing
Malte Köster from the Willmerköster law firm was appointed insolvency administrator of the Landmann Group’s main German company. He stated that the company’s operations will continue until further notice.
The chosen path of restructuring and realignment should be continued and accelerated. The extremely seasonal grill equipment business should be put on a stable footing and the sales process continued.
Landmann has a strong market position and is also known internationally. “This offers opportunities, as demonstrated by the high level of interest in the investor process,” said Köster
