In the third quarter, Zalando increased its adjusted EBIT from 6.3 million euros to 118.2 million euros. With this all expectations are exceeded. The consensus stood at 51.0 million euros, the analysts from Independent Research assumed 75.1 million euros.
Zalando is not making any changes to its expectations for 2020. The gross volume of goods is expected to grow by 25 percent to 27 percent. The adjusted EBIT is seen at 375 million euros to 425 million euros. The analysts consider this to be easily achievable, and Zalando’s CFO reported good developments in October. The positive trend is apparently continuing.
The experts expect earnings per share of EUR 0.95 for 2020 (old: EUR 0.92). The estimate for 2021 is 1.10 euros. A dividend is not to be expected.
The analysts’ buy recommendation for the shares of Zalando remains unchanged. The price target increases slightly from EUR 99.00 to EUR 101.00.
The shares of Zalando gain 0.4 percent to 88.56 euros.
