Daily outlook for November 5th: DAX continues to grow. FMC and Vonovia in great demand!

The race for the White House is still open. After a brief shock, the bulls took over and drove the equity markets significantly higher. The DAX® improved by around 1.6 percent to 12,280 points and the EuroStoxx®50 closed around 1.7 percent stronger at 3,150 points.

There may already be a result for the US elections tomorrow. In addition, the Fed’s interest rate decision is pending.

On the bond market in Europe, there were at times strong movements up and down. At the close of trading, however, the yield on 10-year Bunds remained little changed at -0.64 percent. In the USA, on the other hand, there was strong demand for bonds. The yield on 10-year paper slumped around 11 points to 0.76 percent. Meanwhile, things remained calm for precious metals. The gold price defended the $ 1,900 per troy ounce mark and silver the $ 24 level. The upward trend on the oil market continued. The price for a barrel of Brent Crude briefly scratched the 41 US dollar mark.

Company in focus

The airbus-Share continues to gain height and is preparing to break out of the downtrend that has formed since the beginning of September. The aircraft manufacturer received political support. The federal government is planning to order 38 new Eurofighters. The numbers of BMW were in line with expectations. The stock therefore reacted little changed. Hannover Re reported surprisingly good figures for the third quarter and thus gave impetus for a significant price premium. The US agency CMS is increasing grants for dialysis facilities for 2021 by 2.1 percent as part of the state Medicaid program. That spurred the share of today Fresenius Medical Care. Vonovia presented good figures, increased the dividend for the current financial year and is also optimistic for 2021. Investors acknowledged this with a price increase of 3.2 percent. Zalando made the leap into the black. The share then marked a new record high.

Tomorrow, among other things, report from Europe ArcelorMittal, AstraZeneca, Commerzbank, CompuGroup, Deutsche Lufthansa, Dürr, GEA Group, HeidelbergCement, Lanxes, Linde, Munich Re, ProSiebenSat.1, Pharmacy Shop, Société Générale Business figures for the past quarter. Publish from the USA among others General Motors, T-Mobil US and About Data.

Chart technical outlook

Resistance marks: 12,300 / 12,670 points

Support marks: 11,380 / 11,690 / 11,900 / 12,260 points

After a turbulent start to trading, the DAX® rose further during the day and reached the resistance level of 12,300 points at the end of trading. In view of the 900-point allly in four trading days, the market appears slightly overbought. Investors should have setbacks up to 11,900 points. However, the trend is upwards. If the breakout exceeds 12,300 points, there is a chance the recovery will continue to 12,670 points.
