World Savings Day 2020 – What to do?

Traditionally, German investors are not exactly willing to take risks. At the current interest rates, many simply park their money in their current account.

This practically leads to a financial backlog. As a result, the share of cash and sight deposits in total private financial assets that are not invested is around 28 percent. In 2008 this was only a good 13 percent. And this although at the same time the financial assets have grown by around 49 percent to almost five trillion euros.

The consequences are clear: a loss of income has to be accepted. Interest income will shrink by around half this year compared to 2009. Inflation is higher than the average interest rate and leads to a loss of value. Citizens are always advised to make additional private provision for old age. Only those who need a loan can be happy.

Investing at least part of the assets in stocks should be considered. A certain rethinking seems to be taking place. In the first half of 2020, more invested their money in shares, but the majority still shy away from buying shares. If you look at the most popular stocks in Germany, these are very well-known names. But in the current environment and with the high gold price, an investor should definitely also look at the gold companies.

You could think of Bluestone Resources, Trillium Gold Mines or Canarc Resources here. Bluestone Resources – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzAJ8_SxsJg – owns two projects in Guatemala, the Cerro Blanco gold project and the Mita geothermal project. Cerro Blanco has already shone with very good gold grades when drilling. In the first three years, around 146,000 ounces should be produced annually.

Also an investment in Canarc Resources – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTXbSmIbzU0&t=7s – could be promising. Among the gold projects in British Columbia, the New Polaris gold project is particularly significant, and the company has an advanced gold project in Nevada.

In the Red Lake Mining District within the Michipicoten Greenstone Belt in Ontario is the gold property of Trillium Gold Mines – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4D39hdXw14&t=31s -. This places the Cline Edwards, Highland South and Highland North properties in an excellent prospecting area.
