Eterna can later repay a promissory note loan of EUR 25 million due in March 2021. A corresponding agreement has been reached with the creditors. The term will therefore be extended to at least September 2021. It is hoped that an extension to June 2023 will be possible.
Eterna would also like to extend the term of the bond due in March 2022 until at least June 2024. This bond also has a volume of 25 million euros. A vote on this plan will be launched in the coming weeks.
Henning Gerbaulet, managing partner of Eterna, on the reasons: “After years of successful development, however, we are also clearly feeling the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in the first half of 2020. The duration and other effects of the pandemic can still not be conclusively assessed. Against this background, with the planned extension of the existing financing mix, we want to create financial stability in the current phase and for the coming years at an early stage. “
