The Lufthansa figures are still shaped by the pandemic and the crisis in the aviation industry. In the third quarter, LH achieved an adjusted EBIT of -1.262 billion euros. The consensus had expected -1.432 billion euros. At the end of September Lufthansa had liquid funds of 10.1 billion euros. The net financial debt is 8.9 billion euros.
For the year as a whole, Lufthansa continues to give no forecast. In the current situation, this is not surprising. In the current quarter, a maximum of 25 percent of last year’s capacity will probably be made available.
For the analysts at Independent Research, it is questionable whether and when Lufthansa can repay the state aid. The longer this takes, the more it costs. Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that Lufthansa will part with some areas and sell them. The experts speak of emergency sales of the “silverware”.
You confirm the sell recommendation for Lufthansa shares. The analysts still see the price target for the LH papers at EUR 6.00.
For 2020 they expect a loss per share of 11.16 euros. In 2021, the minus should be 0.77 euros. There shouldn’t be a dividend.
The shares of Lufthansa lose 0.2 percent in the morning to 8.204 euros.
