According to a report in “Manager Magazin”, Uber is said to offer more than a billion for Free Now. Uber and Daimler did not comment on the report.

The driver service provider Free Now is owned equally by BMW and Daimler. The company used to be known as mytaxi. It offers driving services in over 100 cities with more than 100,000 drivers. However, the business is suffering from the corona pandemic. It is part of the larger mobility joint venture Your Now, in which the two manufacturers have merged various activities, including from the areas of car sharing, parking and charging.
