paragon reports better than expected figures – Voltabox sale planned for 2020

At paragon, business in the core automotive area is going better than expected. For the third quarter, a sales increase of 10 percent to 33.8 million euros is reported in this area. “The growth drivers were the business areas of digital assistance (plus 75%), sensor technology (plus 16.5%) and kinematics (plus 15%)”, according to paragon, which after nine months of 2020 has a turnover of 83.8 million euros. The EBITDA margin on a nine-month basis is reported as 9.0 percent, and 12.2 percent was achieved in the third quarter of 2020.

For the full year, paragon is now aiming for the upper end of its own forecast, with sales of 120 million euros and an EBITDA margin of 12 percent. In terms of sales, up to 125 million euros can also be achieved, according to the company from Delbrück on Wednesday.

There are also news about the planned sale of the Voltabox subsidiary: “The company has received several offers. The management expects the project to be completed this year, ”reports paragon. They actually wanted to close the sale in the third quarter of 2020, but nothing came of it. According to paragon, the discussions “are proceeding to the full satisfaction of the management”.
