One year after the death of Robert Evans, who is known for film classics like “Rosemary’s Baby” or “Love Story”, 600 pieces from his estate are being auctioned off in Los Angeles. It’s about works of art, furniture, memorabilia and also a convertible.

For the auction planned for next Saturday in Beverly Hills, the auction house worked closely with the deceased’s only son, Josh Evans. The 49 year old filmmaker comes from Evans ’marriage to“ Love Story ”star Ali MacGraw. The producer died on October 26, 2019 at the age of 89.

Works of art, furniture, clothing and Hollywood memorabilia from Evans’ time as an actor, head of the Paramount Pictures studio and producer will be auctioned. One of the highlights of the auction is a large-format photo by star photographer Helmut Newton (1920 – 2004), whom Evans was one of his closest friends. The photo “In Robert’s Garden” (1991) with Newton’s dedication has an estimated price of 80,000 to 100,000 dollars. “It’s a rare original that is likely to be auctioned off at a much higher price,” says Nolan.

A 1970 script for the mafia drama “The Godfather” is estimated at up to $ 8,000. Cheaper is a telegram change from “Godfather” director Francis Ford Coppola and Evans, in which the two fight violently. The 1974 Golden Globe trophy for the Evans-produced drama “Chinatown” is expected to bring in at least $ 3,000. A Spanish antique cannon that western star John Wayne gave Evans after filming “True Grit” (1969) is estimated at $ 8,000 to $ 10,000. Evans ’jade green Jaguar, a convertible built in 1995, is listed at this high level.
