German property auctions presented key operational data for the first nine months of 2020 on Friday. A total of 1,089 properties were sold at the auctions and in the brokerage area, which together come to a total value of 107.6 million euros. In the previous year there were 1,177 properties, but their total value was only 78.5 million euros. On an adjusted basis, German real estate auctions reported an increase in net brokerage income of 23 percent to 9.6 million euros for the first nine months of 2020.
The third quarter of 2020 alone accounted for a property turnover of 47.8 million euros. “The prospects for the fourth quarter are good too. The deliveries for the winter auctions are currently developing very promisingly, ”said the Berlin company on the outlook. The order volume for the winter auctions at the subsidiaries Sächsische Grundstücksauktionen AG, Norddeutsche Grundstücksauktionen AG and Plettner & Brecht Immobilien GmbH is at 18 million euros, 65 percent above the value from last year. In terms of property sales, 2020 should exceed the previous record year of 2007 – the figure was 126 million euros.
