Shifts speak for gold

More and more investors are getting into gold. This even with an already increased gold price. Because the prospects are still good. This also applies to companies with good gold projects.

Analyst Michael Fitzsimmons gives an idea of how high the gold content should be in a well-balanced portfolio these days. Previously, around 5 percent of financial assets were always held in gold, but investors should now diversify more. This is not based on the asset classes, but on their actual assets. Fitzsimmons explains that if you have assets of less than $ 1 million, you should have at least 5 to 10 percent gold in your portfolio.

The analyst also assumes that wealth will increase in the USA. But this also makes Americans more vulnerable to a depreciating US dollar. Therefore, investors with more assets should also hold larger gold shares. Fitzsimmons says that if you have assets of $ 2 million to $ 5 million, 15 percent to 20 percent should be held in gold. According to Fitzsimmons, at 10 million US dollars there should be 30 percent to 40 percent gold in the portfolio.

This greater diversification could include gold stocks in addition to a good base of physical gold. These do have a higher investment risk. However, this could also generate a higher return if the gold price remains strong or, as expected, continues to increase in the long term. Because the gold in the ground would be upgraded and the valuation of fundamentally good gold companies would increase. Interesting companies with promising gold projects include Bluestone Resources and Filo Mining. Bluestone Resources – – owns the Cerro Blanco gold project in Guatemala, which has already scored with excellent drilling results.

Filo mining – -, a member of the Lundin Group, wholly owns the Filo del Sol copper-gold property in Chile, located in an area with a number of mining operations.

Current company information and press releases from Bluestone Resources (- -) and Filo Mining (- -).
