In view of the Corona crisis and Brexit, the German currywurst chain Herman Ze German is withdrawing from Great Britain. “Sadly, we have to announce that we have to close all branches after ten wonderful years in London,” wrote the operator on Tuesday on their Facebook page.
Covid-19 hit the restaurants hard. “With Brexit, we also have no choice but to pull the plug,” it said.
Herman Ze German had previously sold currywurst and German beers in several branches in London and was a popular snack, especially among Germans living in England.
