Driss Maghraoui is now the Deputy Managing Director in charge of the Personal Life Insurance Division of the Wafa Assurance group. In its press release published Wednesday (October 14th) on the Casablanca stock exchange, the establishment indicated that the Moroccan is replacing Slimane Echchihab, who has retired.
According to the Board of Directors meeting on October 8, 2020, this appointment will take effect on October 19. The newly promoted will be responsible for continuing to strengthen the group’s leadership in Life Insurance and contributing to its development at regional and international levels.
Engineer from the Ecole Centrale de Paris and holder of a DEA in modeling and quantitative analysis in economics from Paris X University, Driss Maghraoui will also take part in the digital transformation of Wafa Assurance. A task that will undoubtedly not be difficult given the “concrete experience” of the new managing director.
Starting his banking career in 1994, the new Managing Director joined the Attijariwafa Bank Group in 2006 to hold various positions related to animation, marketing and sales. In 2012, he took charge of the Individual and Professional Markets Department, scope including bancassurance.
In this area, he designed and implemented development strategies for the various customer segments while taking charge of relationships with partners and synergies with subsidiaries.
