As of today, investors can subscribe to the new Joh. Friedrich Behrens bond. The paper has a volume of 15.0 million euros and has an interest rate of 7.25 percent. The term is five years. The interest is paid every six months. The paper can be drawn up until November 5th.
At the same time, investors in the Behrens bond, which will expire in November 2020, can exchange their paper. This option is available until November 2nd. There is a new paper for an old bond. In addition, EUR 25.00 per bond is paid as cash compensation, and there is also the interest accrued up to that point.
The new Behrens bond will later be included in trading in the Open Market in Frankfurt.
Behrens intends to use the fresh money to refinance the bond, which will expire in November. Refinancing the bond also includes other building blocks. This includes a loan and a silent participation from Schleswig-Holstein amounting to 2 million euros. An application is also being submitted to the Federal Ministry of Economics. Behrens is hoping for a silent participation of over 4 million euros. Bridge financing is also planned.
