The business magazine “Fortune” has been measuring the success of companies by their turnover since 1990. He decides on the order in the annual global ranking “Global 500”. But 2020 will also show that sales and profits are two completely different shoes.
Of the ten companies with the highest turnover in the world, only one makes it into the top 10 when it comes to profit. In terms of profit, even a group in 58th place can leave champions such as Walmart, Volkswagen and Amazon far behind.
However, profit is partly of a very theoretical nature. Warren Buffett found that again in fiscal year 2019. According to “Fortune”, these are the ten most profitable companies in the world.
