New ZWL Zahnradwerk Leipzig: China as a driving force

At Neue ZWL Zahnradwerk Leipzig, some very general trends for the third quarter are published without giving exact figures. The turnover of Neue ZWL in the third quarter is almost at the previous year’s level. 93 percent of last year’s sales are generated. A year ago, however, no announcement was published on the figures for the third quarter.

For the year as a whole, the people of Leipzig confirm the forecast. A drop in sales of 15 percent to 20 percent is expected. The loss should be between 1.9 million euros and 2.2 million euros.

In China things are going particularly well for society at the moment. In the third quarter, sales there will increase by 30 percent compared to the previous year. In the Asian country, sales and earnings should be at the previous year’s level for the full year.

Managing Director Hubertus Bartsch on the numbers: “In the current, still challenging environment, it is not a matter of course that we can assert ourselves so successfully. Rather, it is impressive evidence of the economic strength of our company and the trusting relationship with our customers that has grown over many years that we have already developed significantly positively again in the 3rd quarter of 2020. ”

Bartsch adds: “Thanks to our early focus on e-mobility, we will return to the old growth path as soon as possible, as we have already done in China.”

Only a few days ago the company announced that it was preparing a new bond.
