Bayer, Covestro, Tesla, biodiversity – the most important things of the weekend

The stock exchange closed at the weekend, but that doesn’t mean that there wasn’t any interesting news from the world of stocks and financial markets. There were current reports, among other things, on the shares of Bayer, Covestro and Tesla as well as an article on biodiversity and the financial industry. Here again the most important things from the weekend from the 4investors editorial team:

Bayer share: This is the decision week – maybe …
A catastrophic week of trading in Bayer shares ended on Friday with a – but so far only temporary – slide below an important technical chart: With a daily low of 43.87 euros, Bayer’s share price fell just below the corona crash low from March this year, at 44.855 Euro. At the end of the day, however, the DAX was able to bring 44.935 euros (-3.03 percent) on the price board. The interim sell-signal on the basis of the closing price was thus not confirmed – read on here.

Covestro: What do equity experts actually say about this share?
The latest news from Covestro received some current analyst comments these days. What is it about? The chemical company from Leverkusen wants to take over the Resins & Functional Materials division from DSM. The purchase price is around 1.6 billion euros. Not a small bite, the sum corresponds to around 20 percent of Covestro’s market capitalization – read on here.

Tesla shares: You believe in it – or you don’t
On the stock exchange, the discussion about Tesla shares has almost religious features – you either believe in the company and its valuation, or you don’t. There have recently been some critical voices among experts about the Elon Musk company’s share: Various analyst firms expect the Tesla share to fall sharply in the near future – read on here.

Can the financial sector also do biodiversity?
After climate neutrality, biodiversity could be the next issue in which central banks and regulators use the financial sector as agents. Getting 65 heads of state to come to an agreement is remarkable. And if this agreement is about “meaningful measures” in the area of biodiversity, that is even more remarkable – read on here.
