Morgan Beller joins the ranks of NFX after having cut his teeth with Facebook’s crypto projects. She is not yet 30 years old and yet she already has great achievements to her credit that have earned her today her position as General Partner in her new company. She is mainly in charge of investments in the tech landscape and, the one who has now bathed for many years in the cryptosphere and Bitcoin (BTC), intends to continue her path there.
A great career for Beller
The venture capital company, NFX, announced in a press release dated September 22, 2020, the recruitment of Morgan beller as 4th general partner.
Beller, 27, is known to have been one of the co-founders of Libra (≋). She was the strategy director of Novi, the wallet specially designed for the network Libra and formerly known as Calibra.
She previously led the strategic development of Medium and, would be the origin of their current subscription model.
NFX explains in its press release the criteria for selecting a general partner: someone with skills, a network and a spirit to benefit the founders, as well as a strong cultural and personal fit for the company.
Beller said in an interview with The Block than his role within NFX would focus on investing in the tech sector. She also affirmed her wish to remain involved in the cryptosphere.
The keys to wooing NFX
The CEO of NFX, Peter Flint, said in an interview that the company prefers to invest in companies with network effect.
The network effect is the fact that a company becomes more and more useful as more people use it, such as Facebook and Twitter.
NFX operates in several sectors of activity and several countries, favoring Israel and the Silicon Valley, which the founders consider to be the 2 most important technological centers in the world.
Cryptoassets are highly volatile unregulated investment products. No EU investor protection. Your capital is at risk.
Will Morgan Beller bring beneficial innovations to the cryptosphere within NFX? The rules for attracting the latter’s favor are clear: setting up in Israel or Silicon Valley and developing a project with a network effect. With a little crypto and blockchain sauce on top, the project should easily pass Beller’s filter. To your keyboards, your codes and your projects: you will no longer be able to say that you have no idea how to obtain 6 or 7 digit financing.
