UniDevice released figures for the first half of 2020. The company from Schönefeld reports an increase in sales of 5.9 percent to 196.3 million euros and a profit on interest and taxes of 2.37 million euros – an increase of more than 38.4 percent. The net increase in surplus was more than half to 1.63 million euros. The core business of UniDevice, the B2B brokerage for communication and entertainment electronics with a focus on high-priced smartphones, accounts for 194.6 million euros and a profit of 1.5 million euros, the rest in the medical technology business.
The company does not provide specific figures for the outlook, but CEO Christian Pahl sees growth potential: “In autumn 2020, 5G-capable mobile phones will be widely launched in the EU by Apple, Samsung and other manufacturers. We expect this to provide additional impetus for sales and profit growth. In the field of medical technology, SaniSolutions GmbH is enabled to implement ISO 13485: 2016. This project increases the process quality and efficiency of the business area. We expect this to result in competitive advantages over other market participants, ”says the manager.
