Dow Jones – It’s getting really tight now

Even on the third attempt within a few days, the Dow Jones Industrial Average® failed to reach or break the 27,100 point mark. In yesterday’s trade, the bears sensed their chance and struck ice cold. The pressure on important supports in the chart is now increasing. So far, the support at 26,611 points has held at the closing price and the intermediate low at 26,505 points has not yet been undercut. Nevertheless, extreme caution is now required on the long side. If the support falls at 26,505 points, the focus moves to support at 26,384 points. Below this mark, the index is likely to slide more sharply and a sell-off towards 25,743 points is more likely.

For new bullish ambitions, a sign of strength and thus an increase above 27,100 points should be awaited, especially after yesterday’s development. If this relief is successful, the intermediate high at 27,580 points would be a first goal. However, the consolidation since June would only have ended above this mark.
