Philips TV and Bowers & Wilkins extend collaboration

TP Vision, exclusive licensee of premium brand Philips TV & Sound, and the British sound engineering company, Bowers & Wilkins extend their partnership.

The partnership kicked off in June 2018 and is said to have been groundbreaking in the premium television industry. The Ambilight TVs that are the result of the collaboration are, according to TP Vision, a new reference point for image and sound quality.

The three OLED + Ambilight TVs have been awarded 95 prizes in Europe in the past 18 months

The three OLED + Ambilight TVs launched to date have been received with enthusiasm by consumers, retailers and the media, and have been awarded 95 prizes in Europe in the past 18 months. An important factor that has contributed to the collaboration is the long tradition that both companies have when it comes to developing proprietary technologies with full control over all stages of the development and production process. The effectiveness and efficiency of this policy is enhanced by the location of the main technical facilities of both companies in Europe. TP Vision maintains its innovation center in Ghent, Belgium, and Bowers & Wilkins R&D center is located in Southwater, UK.

Kostas Vouzas, CEO of TP Vision Europe: “I really believe that we changed the premium television industry when we launched the first products as a result of our partnership with Bowers & Wilkins. We’ve set new performance standards, and we’ll continue to do so with the launch of every new TV. This is a groundbreaking collaboration between two absolute market leaders in their own areas of expertise, and I am confident that we can continue to surprise consumers with phenomenal products. “
