Mutares is planning another takeover – it would be deal number six this year. This time they want to strike in Scandinavia: Mutares has signed an agreement to acquire Nordic Road Services AB and Nordic Road Services Oy, which are among the leading providers of road services. The Munich-based investment company does not disclose the purchase price.
The acquisitions, which have yet to be approved by the Swedish competition authority, are intended to act as a new platform investment in the Good & Services portfolio segment. The Nordic Road Services Group employs 216 people and has a turnover of around 125 million euros. Customers are served from the public sector such as state-owned companies, cities and municipalities as well as from the private sector. However, the focus is on the public sector, services include snow removal, road surveillance, road maintenance, traffic signs, wildlife fences and road markings.
The acquisition is also the starting signal for Mutares’ further expansion in Scandinavia, where the company opened an office in Helsinki at the end of last year.
