DRC: ARCA and DGDA agree to collaborate on the control of insurance of import facilities

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Insurance Regulation and Control Authorities (ARCA) and the General Directorate of Customs and Excise (DGDA) concluded, Thursday, July 2, 2020, a memorandum of understanding intended to strengthen the control of the insurance of the import faculties and the insurance of civil responsibilities of the owners of land motor vehicles in international circulation.

They intend to ensure compliance with the laws in force, in particular that governing the insurance sectors.

In the presence of the Vice-Minister of Finance, Junior Mata, the DG ai of ARCA, Alain Kaninda Ngalula, and the DG ai of DGDA, Jean-Baptiste Nkongolo, called on economic operators to comply with the prescriptions of the Code insurance and the Customs Code.

The aim is to secure their goods and their means of transport.
