The CompuGroup from Koblenz announces the completion of a takeover: As announced in February, the software group has acquired parts of Cerner’s business in Germany and Spain. “The acquired parts of the company will therefore be fully included in the group consolidation from July 1, 2020,” the company said on Wednesday. The sales and EBITDA contribution of the newly acquired activities should be in the second half of the year above the previous year’s period, including the first synergy effects, according to CompuGroup. Throughout the past year, the acquired activities generated sales of EUR 73 million and EBITDA of EUR 13 million, the company said.
“With the successful completion of this transaction, we are expanding our customer base for hospital information systems by more than 300 other facilities, making us number 2 in Germany and one of the leading providers of public hospitals in Spain,” says Hannes Reichl , Managing Director Hospital Information Systems at Compugroup.
