Wirecard: a final line – the next Braun chapter

Wirecard only needs a few lines to end a long-term relationship. Markus Braun resigned from his position as a member of the company’s Management Board on June 19. At that time, this was done in agreement with the Supervisory Board. His successor was James Freis, who had only been appointed to the board one day earlier.

The Wirecard supervisory board is now drawing further consequences regarding the various affairs that are burdening Wirecard. It is about certificates that have not been issued, about allegations of fraud, missing funds and a lost executive board. Ultimately, it is also about the bankruptcy that the DAX Group had to register.

Markus Braun is given an extraordinary termination. The employment contract with Braun is terminated. The company does not say anything more on the subject. There is also no further information on Wirecard’s transparency page. Reasons for this step are therefore not given.

In the meantime, Wirecard shares are experiencing a new high despite bankruptcy filing. The paper today wins 75.8 percent to 5.73 euros.
