In autumn every year it starts all over again: Then the car insurance companies fight like crazy for new customers. November 30 is the deadline for many policies to terminate with its old provider. The first companies are already beginning to prepare for the changing season. For several years now, this has included several start-ups and digital players from large insurance companies.

Many customers still buy car insurance from their brokers or through the Check24 comparison portal. The providers have been fighting price wars for new customers for a long time. With Google marketing, providers would have to pay the highest prices in autumn, a Check24 manager reported last year. The Huk and Allianz continue to be market leaders.
