Deutsche Beteiligungs AG: Short question mark behind the dividend

The current crisis also affects Deutsche Beteiligungs AG. This is not only seen in the course. If the price before the crisis was more than 42 euros, the following low was 22.20 euros. In the meantime, the paper is again quoting around 30 euros.

The company suspended its dividend forecast in April. The company actually wants to pay an at least stable dividend every year. However, the goal is actually to increase the dividend. The 2016 dividend was EUR 1.20, and EUR 1.50 was paid in 2019.

At a virtual investor conference, IR chief Thomas Franke leaves open whether this policy can currently be continued. Basically, you want to stick to the previous dividend policy, but this cannot be predicted for the current financial year. The company is currently unable to predict what the situation will look like at the end of the financial year. Accordingly, no statement is made about the dividend. In a question and answer session, Franke made it clear that a statement on the dividend cannot be made until the fourth quarter of the current year.

The shares of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG gain 0.8 percent in the morning to EUR 30.60.
