WashTec shareholders should not receive a dividend for 2019 after all. Instead of the previous proposal of a dividend of EUR 1.65 per WashTec share, no distribution should take place for the time being – the company will submit a corresponding proposal to the Annual General Meeting. “The adjustment of the dividend proposal takes into account the continuing economic uncertainties regarding the drastic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, which will also lead to a significant decline in sales and EBIT at WashTec compared to the previous year,” WashTec explained.
In April and May, after-tax earnings were positive, even though sales had dropped, the company said. However, no more concrete numbers are given. In addition, the Corona pandemic continues to cause uncertain customer demand, especially in the machine business, according to WashTec.
