Evotec’s US subsidiary Just – Evotec Biologics from Seattle has agreed to cooperate with Advanced BioScience Laboratories. The new partner is a contract developer and manufacturer and works for the U.S. government and the biopharmaceutical industry, according to the Hamburg-based biotech company. “The framework is a $ 318.5 million contract from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the National Institutes of Health, and the Department of Health and Human Services,” said Evotec. The TecDAX-listed group does not provide any further financial details on the cooperation.
As part of the collaboration, Just – Evotec Biologics will “design a highly efficient process for the cGMP production of a broadly neutralizing antibody against HIV for clinical phase I testing”, the North Germans announced on Monday. “As part of the agreement, Just – Evotec Biologics will also design a product formulation for clinical administration and support the project with assay development and stability and release tests,” Evotec continued.
