Brain brought around 15 million euros into the company through a capital increase. In general, the round of financing was expected as this would strengthen liquidity.
However, analysts at DZ Bank criticize that Brain did not announce the move at a conference call a few days ago, although there was demand. In their view, Brain would have had a liquidity squeeze in the medium term without this capital increase. You stick to the Brain hold recommendation. The target price remains at 9.50 euros.
Pareto Securities analysts continue to recommend buying the Brain shares. Here the price target increases from 15.10 euros to 15.50 euros. These experts also refer to the liquidity situation. Most recently, 6.4 million euros were still available in cash at Brain.
The new money can also be used for purchases. The money could also be used to buy out minority shareholders from subsidiaries.
Brain’s shares are now gaining 1.4 percent to EUR 8.60.
